Message from Ambassador

Respected guests and dear friends,

The latest history of the Angolan people has put forward a great and noble challenge to us to publicize its presently social-political, economic and military situation in the amicable and marvelous country of Angola. This article is a reply to the challenge.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The diplomatic-political cooperation between Angola and China can be traced to early 1960s. At that time, the Angolan people had just started the struggle for their political emancipation, the struggle aiming at taking their destiny in their own hands.
Because of some subjective and objective factors, our people didn't know much about the concrete reality between the two countries, nor did our two countries know much of each other, which was quite unfavorable to the development of the economic and trade cooperation between our two countries.
However, the recent two generation political leaders of our people established and consolidated the diplomatic-political relations between the two countries and had raised it to a rather high level. Today, we have come to see the result of such relations.
During the primary phase of our struggle, we won political independence, ended the 27 years armed hostile and killing among bothers and realized the social-political stabilization at the same time. Now, we have entered the second phase of our struggle, the struggle of striving for economic independence. Therefore, we call on the friendly countries, the People's Republic of China in particular, to participate in the huge project.

Angola is one of the world acknowledged countries with rich natural resources. She has various kinds of soils, vast arable land and suitable weather, which are favorable to develop agriculture; she has a vast and rich coastal area, where produces a lot of sea products; she has a stabilized social, political and military situation, and very attractive and exciting economic, financial, banking and tax laws, all of which constitute a very ideal environment for any kind of development. We welcome all the state and private enterprises to go to Angola for investment.
I wish to take the advantage of this short but very significant message to advise all the entrepreneurs, merchants and the beautiful and charming nature lovers, either from the state run enterprises or private ones, of the People's Republic of China to divert their attention to the big world of Angola as it is a safe, reliable and prospecting country and provides guarantee for the success of any enterprise as well.
